someone in my notes just said the main reason we post gifsets on tumblr is the limits on video uploads i love when people just make shit up
#no it's because they're sick and awesome....#the first gifset was posted in like 2011 shortly after tumblr launched the new post layout#that let you stack pictures the way we do today#cause someone was like oh does this work with gifs too i wonder if i can make it look like the brady bunch intro#gifsets are their own thing they aren't just a replacement for video 😔

I find it so funny that this news story made it considering less than 10 million people a year in australia / certain surrounding islands watch it at least once per year. the amount of consistent viewers such as myself is significantly lower
